hello.

I began taking photos of moments that I stumbled across when I went abroad to China in 2018. Since then, they've documented the amazing adventures I've had. To scroll through them, hover over the picture to access the arrow buttons. Click on the pictures to get a better view.

a picture of the Wuhan skyline. this occurred after my volunteer program ended and i returned to the city to meet up with my mother and sister, whom i hadn't seen for a year. it had just rained and that night we went out and got a lot of delicious stuff to eat.

a picture of the skylight in my home in Washington State

a picture taken in an industrial/art area in Beijing. my classmate, Chinese literature teacher, and I were going to see an art exhibit.

my drawings
and animations
Drawing and animating are two of my favorite hobbies. I've drawn and animated for most of my life, and many of the skills I've learnt are self-taught. Today, I use my passions to contribute to the community in and out of my school. This includes organizing galleries, designing school merchandise, and establishing an animation club which makes animations for school-sponsored events and organizations. Here are just a few works from the last several years. To scroll through them, hover over the first animation to access the arrow buttons.
This animation is an intro I've made for a monthly video announcement students make to talk about ongoing news at the school.

other stuff
I've been using the skills I've developed from art to do research on the behavior of native dark-eyed juncos and crows. I've made a junco decoy (depicted) from scratch, and, currently, I'm creating a vending machine for crows.
